BAM and OFCORES launch the IAB MIXX Awards 2.0

29 May 2026 · Brussels

Brussels, 29 May 2026 – The 18th edition of the IAB MIXX Awards will also be the first to adopt a “new format”. It will take place at Brussels Gate on 1 December and promises new features at every level. The objective: to attract a broader audience.

On 1 December 2026, the IAB MIXX Awards will be presented for the 18th time at Brussels Gate. This edition will mark a turning point for the awards, which honour the best digital work, thanks to a new partnership between BAM (the organisation behind IAB Belgium) and OFCORES, which is now responsible for organising the event.

“We will introduce a new format, investing in every stage of the attendee journey,” explains Jean-Baptiste De Bock, CEO of OFCORES. “We are aiming for an impressive awards ceremony. It should set the standard for event excellence at every level, including a dynamic awards show.”

The highest-performing work in digital

Fleur Parnet, CEO of BAM, explains:

“In terms of substance, the very essence of the award will, of course, remain unchanged. These awards recognise the highest-performing work in digital: campaigns, but also tools and media. We assess them on their strategy, execution and results.”

The number of categories will, however, be reduced. BAM and OFCORES will share further details in June.

IAB is playing an increasingly important role within BAM

“The IAB MIXX Awards are our flagship event, alongside the after-work events,” explains Frédéric Martins (RMB), a member of BAM’s Board of Directors responsible for relations with IAB Powered by BAM. “And these initiatives are certainly necessary. Digital is evolving very rapidly, and the market is highly fragmented. IAB Powered by BAM provides guidance and market-shared information, as well as a great deal of inspiration, all within the broader marketing landscape.”

A week dedicated to marketing

This new edition is part of a broader momentum driven by BAM.

“Little by little, this first week of December is becoming a true Marketing Week,” adds BAM’s CEO. “The IAB MIXX Awards ceremony takes place on Tuesday, followed by the BAM Marketing Congress on Thursday and Friday.”

The close timing of the events also offers organisational advantages.

“We will be able to reuse certain production elements for both events,” explains Jean-Baptiste De Bock. “This has the advantage of freeing up more resources to achieve the level of event excellence we aspire to. Naturally, each event will have a completely distinct identity and offer visitors a unique experience. It is also worth remembering that Digital First will take place on 1 December. However, it is aimed at a different and broader audience.”

Reaching a broader audience

According to the organisers, elevating the IAB MIXX Awards in this way should enable the event to reach a broader audience, raise awareness of the strengths of digital and attract more players from across the market, particularly smaller organisations.

The ambition is clear: to make the IAB MIXX Awards not only a benchmark for recognising the best digital work, but also an unmissable event for Belgium’s marketing ecosystem.

About the IAB MIXX Awards

Four juries assess the submitted campaigns across four main categories: Digital Channel Award, Digital Campaign Award, Digital Marketing Technology & AI Award and Digital for Good. The IAB MIXX Awards are an international initiative organised in Belgium by the Belgian Association of Marketing and OFCORES.
